What

Staff handyworkers and volunteers provide minor household maintenance and repair for individuals in Olmsted County. Common needs are: grab bar installation, changing batteries in smoke alarms, light carpentry and yard work.

 
Who

The handyworker program primarily serves, but is not limited to, older adults within Olmsted County.

 
Why

Minor household chores can have significant safety implications. Often finding a service to complete these minor tasks can be challenging and/or costly.

 
Outcome

Individuals are able to remain living safely in their homes.

 
Cost

This service is available on a donation basis to individuals ages 60 and older. Individuals under age 60 may access this service for $23/hour.
