Violence Group (Project Restore)
| What | Project Restore is a group for men who are concerned about their domestic violence. Mental health professionals trained in domestic violence work co-facilitate this group. They partner with participants on building skills and learning to manage anger in a way that promotes a safe environment for families. |
| Who | Men who have been violent or are concerned about their violent behaviors. Participants are both voluntary and court ordered. |
| Why | Violence is a learned behavior and over time can be unlearned. Domestic violence impacts the entire family system and broken relationships can be restored. |
| Outcome | Men are able to recognize their abusive behaviors, develop and use new non-violent, problem-solving and relationship skills; and to understand and address the damages resulting from domestic violence. Families are safe from violence. |
| Cost | Fees are determined on an ability to pay basis. Additionally, health insurance and medical assistance may be accepted. Transportation assistance is available. |
